What is a Soul Blueprint?
We love using the analogy of an oak tree and its acorn. Just as an acorn contains the complete blueprint to become a massive tree that lives for hundreds of years, you were born into this world with your soul blueprint already patterned into you. Think about that for a moment—everything that oak tree will ever be is already encoded in that tiny acorn. The shape it'll take, how many branches it'll grow, even how it'll weather storms. That's you. That's all of us. "The Soul's Blueprint is already innate to every single one of us," as Jamie shared in our conversation. "It's already present, it's already alive. It's actually already online in the fabric of our own beingness or consciousness." This divine soul blueprint includes everything about how you'll learn, grow, and evolve throughout your incarnation. But here's what's really important to understand—it's not just some abstract spiritual concept. It's practical. It's real. It shows up in your everyday life through:
Your soul blueprint encompasses:
The types of relationships that magnetize to you (and why certain people feel like soul family)
Work that lights you up versus work that drains you
How you naturally engage with the physical world around you
What inspires and impulses you from deep within
The things you naturally move toward or away from
Your unique way of being of service to others
The lessons that keep showing up until you learn them
Your natural gifts that feel effortless to express
Soul Blueprint Meaning: More Than Just Your Life Purpose
What is your soul blueprint meaning in practical terms? This is where it gets really juicy. As we discussed in the episode, while your overarching theme might be to be of service to others (as we covered in our previous episode), your soul blueprint is the granular expression of HOW you wish to contribute to the planetary shift towards love. Think of it this way: We don't all come here with the same soul blueprint—that would be inefficient! And as Michael loves to point out (being the efficiency-loving soul he is), the universe doesn't do inefficient. Instead, we have agreements between soul groups where different blueprints complement each other. Just like Jamie brings the vision and design element—she's the one who sees the big picture, creates beauty, and holds the energetic container—while Michael focuses on making everything functional and practical—he's the one ensuring things actually work in the 3D world. Your unique blueprint works in harmony with others to create something greater than any of us could achieve alone. "We have all these different souls' blueprints that come together," Michael explained. "And I do think that's a large part of why we've created Inner Truth Seekers—we are reaching out to everyone who feels like a part of their soul's blueprint is to express their own inner truth. When we come together, we potentiate each other and then we have more of a greater impact on the Earth."
How to Find Your Soul Blueprint: Reading Your Divine Map
One of the most powerful ways we described accessing your soul blueprint is like having a map when you're lost in a jungle. And let's be real—doesn't life sometimes feel exactly like that? Like you're just wandering around in circles, hoping you're going the right direction? Michael shared this brilliant analogy: "Imagine dropping into a rainforest or a jungle without a map. You're just walking around, you don't really know which way you're going, maybe just going in circles. But accessing the soul blueprint is like speaking to someone in a helicopter who can see with infrared. They're saying, 'Yeah, you are here. Just keep walking this way, take a right, then left, and you'll come out by a beautiful waterfall where you can sail down the river." Your soul blueprint isn't something external you need to create or buy or figure out through some complex system. It's about learning to read what's already within you. As we emphasized in our conversation, this isn't about rigid rules or "having to" do certain things. The blueprint is a guide to help you get the most out of your incarnation in terms of fulfilling your soul's mission. But here's the thing—and this is so important—you still have free will. Michael used the example of driving with a GPS: "The sat nav's telling you to go one way. You can still go, 'I want to go this way.'" Your blueprint shows you the most efficient, joyful path, but you always have choice.
Divine Soul Blueprint: Navigating Life Transitions
In our podcast, we shared a powerful insight about how your divine soul blueprint adapts and evolves. This really hit home when Jamie shared her personal journey from being a landscape architect for 20 years to transitioning into consciousness and intuition work. Can you imagine? Twenty years dedicated to one profession, all the training, the certifications, the identity wrapped up in it—and then feeling called to something completely different. "I can remember when that happened," Jamie reflected. "I was feeling it happening and there was a part of me that really wanted to hold on to the landscape design, the landscape architecture. Let's be honest... I went and got a five year degree, then I had to apprentice for two or three years, then I had to pass all these tests just to say I'm a landscape architect. So I worked really hard." This perfectly illustrates how the soul blueprint isn't static—it's constantly inviting us into new phases of growth. We compared it to building a house: Once you've completed the foundation, you don't keep working on the foundation forever—you move on to building the walls. Yet in life, we often get stuck in completed phases because of fear or attachment.
As we discussed, two main beliefs keep people stuck:
The belief that "it's not the right time" - Even when every sign points to change, we convince ourselves to wait for some perfect moment that never comes.
The expectation that the next phase will be worse - This usually stems from childhood experiences where big changes meant instability or loss. But as adults with agency, we can create positive transitions.
"When we don't move from one phase of life to the next," Michael observed, "we have this inherent belief or expectation that the next phase is gonna be worse than where we currently are. If we already knew, 'Great, this is opening up something even better,' we would be like, 'Oh, great!' Just like when we've done the foundations on the house, we're excited about the walls."
Soul Blueprint: Multiple Incarnations Within One Lifetime
Something profound we explored is how you might experience four or five "incarnations within the incarnation." This isn't some abstract concept—it's real, lived experience. Jamie shared how when she looks back at her incarnation so far, she notices she's had about four or five distinct phases that feel like completely different lifetimes. "A certain period of time goes by, there seems to be a certain set of lessons or themes happening, and then there's a transition and my life shifts into some new phase," she explained. "Sometimes when I look back at earlier ages of my own life, it feels like a lifetime or two ago because it's not even the same experience. I'm not the same person." This understanding is crucial for anyone discovering their soul blueprint. Your blueprint can shift and change within one lifetime—it's not about finding that "one thing" and sticking to it forever. We've both experienced this firsthand. Michael went from rugby player to owning his own renewable energy recruitment business to trauma transformation and consciousness expansion work.. Jamie went from landscape architect to intuitive to multidimensional teacher. Each phase built upon the last, but they were distinctly different expressions of our soul blueprints.
The soul blueprint is comprehensive, happening around us daily in all our relationships and encounters. It's not just about your career or some grand life mission. It's in:
How you interact with the person at the grocery store
The friends who come into your life at exactly the right moment
The challenges that keep repeating until you get the lesson
The random encounters that change everything
The work that calls to you even when it makes no logical sense
Why We Get Stuck: Understanding Repeating Patterns
Here's something that might sound familiar: "Why do I keep having this experience over and over again? Why does this pattern keep showing up in my life?" We hear variations of this question from clients all the time. You change jobs, move locations, enter new relationships, but somehow the same dynamics keep playing out.
As Michael explained in our conversation, "The soul blueprint has a lesson that we want to learn. And if we don't learn it, then the interactions, the things that will show up—the soul blueprint's all around us expressing itself—there will just be another opportunity to learn it." This isn't punishment. This isn't the universe being mean. This is actually the love of consciousness, giving you infinite opportunities to grow. Think about it—in school, if you fail a test, that's it. But in the soul's curriculum? You get as many chances as you need. "It's not like eighth grade test where you've got one or two chances to get it," Michael pointed out. "You've got infinite lifetimes to get it. The question is, how many lifetimes do you really want to spend getting this lesson?"
Some real examples of patterns we see:
Overextending yourself in relationships and then feeling resentful
Attracting partners who mirror your unhealed wounds
Creating success and then sabotaging it just before breakthrough
People-pleasing until you lose yourself completely
Starting projects with enthusiasm but never finishing them
The beautiful thing? Once you recognize these as soul blueprint lessons rather than personal failures, everything shifts. Instead of "Why does this keep happening to me?" you can ask, "What is my soul trying to learn here?"
Practical Ways to Connect with Your Soul Blueprint
1. Reconnect with Childhood Passions
This is one of our favorite exercises because it's so revealing. As we shared in the episode, look at what brought you pure joy as a child—before the world told you what was "practical" or "realistic."
Jamie's example still makes us smile. Picture this: Little seven-year-old Jamie lining up eight or ten stuffed animals as her students. She had a notebook with different colored markers and would make worksheets for each stuffed animal because she loved to design. Then—and this is the best part—she'd complete each worksheet differently because every stuffed animal had their own personality! "I loved teaching," she recalled. "My play was teaching. I thought when I was a kid, because of my limited ideas of what it meant to teach, I thought, 'Well, I guess I'm gonna be an elementary school teacher when I grow up.'" But look at her now—she IS teaching, just not in a traditional classroom. She's teaching consciousness, intuition, spiritual sovereignty. The soul blueprint was already there at age seven; it just needed time to evolve into its full expression.
What lit you up as a child? Really think about it:
What games did you create?
What could you do for hours without getting bored?
What did you dream about becoming?
What activities made time disappear?
What did adults notice about you that was unique?
2. Examine Repeating Patterns
We emphasized looking at loops or patterns in your life. These aren't random—they're your soul blueprint trying to get your attention. As we discussed, if you don't learn a lesson, your soul blueprint will keep presenting opportunities to learn it. "Being in a loop," as we often say to each other. "What is this loop? Thought I moved through this two weeks ago. Here it is again. What's the thing it's trying to present me with?" Instead of seeing this as failure, recognize it as the love of consciousness giving you infinite chances to grow.
Some questions to explore:
What situations keep repeating in different forms?
What triggers the same emotional response repeatedly?
Where do you keep hitting the same walls?
What feedback do you consistently receive from others?
What patterns did your parents have that you're repeating?
3. Follow Your Pure Excitement
This was a key point in our conversation—tune into what creates pure excitement and joy BEFORE your mind creates limitations. This is huge. We're talking about that initial spark of "Yes!" before your mind says, "But how will I pay rent?" or "What will people think?" Michael shared how he follows what excites him most from his daily task list rather than rigidly planning. "I'll have a list of all the things that I wanna do, but for me to rigidly plan all of the things on a given day multiple days out, it doesn't really work for me. When I look at the list of things to do, I'm like, what's exciting me the most?" This flexibility allows the soul blueprint to guide you naturally. It's not about being irresponsible—it's about being responsive to your inner guidance.
4. Reconnect with Infinite Possibility
Remember that wide-eyed kid who thought they could be an astronaut? A rock star? A sports player. That infinite possibility never disappeared—perhaps you just looked in another direction? Part of accessing your soul blueprint is reconnecting with that limitless perspective before doubting voices crept in. "There's this point where the idea of infinite possibility... there's so many voices that say, 'Oh, but what are you really gonna do? What's practical for you?'" Michael shared. "Part of my evolution through my own non-dual spiritual awakening and trauma transformation has been reconnecting to that infinite possibility before all those doubting voices or influences told me it wasn't possible."
Here's a powerful exercise: For just one day, every time your mind says "I can't because..." stop and ask, "What if I could?" Notice how often you limit yourself before even trying.
Your Soul Blueprint in Everyday Life
As we explored extensively, your soul blueprint isn't just about work or vocation—it's expressing itself constantly through every aspect of your life. This was such an important point in our conversation because people often think their soul blueprint is just about finding their "life purpose" or career. But it's so much more comprehensive than that.
Your blueprint is expressed through:
Daily relationships and encounters - Every person you meet is part of your blueprint's expression
The people who trigger growth - Yes, even (especially) the difficult ones
Moments of joy and challenge - Both are teachers in your soul's curriculum
Random synchronicities - Those "coincidences" that feel too perfect to be accidents
Your natural way of being - How you show up when you're not trying to be someone else
"The soul blueprint is actually happening around us on a daily basis," Jamie emphasized. "In our relationships, in our close relationships, when we just encounter somebody going to the grocery store and never see them again." Every person in your life, whether they bring joy or difficulty, is part of your soul blueprint's expression. They're the teachers helping you understand your lessons. This isn't an accident—these interactions are perfectly orchestrated for your evolution.
Embracing Change and Transition
A crucial insight from our conversation: When things in life start to crumble or fall away, rather than defaulting to "this is bad," recognize it as completion of one phase and invitation into the next. This is such a game-changer in how we approach life transitions. "Just as you progress through school grades, life moves through phases," we discussed. "Staying in kindergarten your whole life wouldn't serve your growth!"
The invitation is to:
Embrace transitions as natural progressions - Just like seasons, your life has cycles
Be intentional with how you respond - You have agency in your reactions
Trust that each new phase offers greater alignment - Evolution is always toward more authenticity
Remember you always have agency in how you respond - Even when you can't control circumstances
"When things in life start to crumble and fall away, rather than reverting to the default setting which this is bad, or this is negative, there's the invitation to change the response to recognize: Okay, great. The foundations of the house are complete. What's there gonna be more energy for in my life?"
Living Your Soul Blueprint Now
As we concluded in our discussion, the most important thing is recognizing that your soul blueprint will keep meeting you where you're at. It adapts like water shaping around your hand. This is such a beautiful truth—you can't mess it up. You can't get it wrong. Your soul blueprint is infinitely patient and creative in finding ways to guide you. "Your soul blueprint's gonna adapt," Michael explained. "It's like putting your hand in water, the water shapes around your hand and how it moves." You have infinite lifetimes to learn your lessons—the question is, how many lifetimes do you want to spend on the same lesson? This isn't about pressure or perfectionism. It's about recognizing that you have the power to engage with your lessons consciously rather than unconsciously. The planetary shift towards love us accelerating. When we gather as inner truth seekers, we potentiate each other and create greater impact on Earth. Your blueprint matters. Your unique expression matters. The world needs what you came here to offer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What exactly is a soul blueprint? A: Your soul blueprint is the innate design or pattern within you that guides how you'll learn, grow, and evolve in this lifetime. It's like an acorn containing the complete design to become an oak tree—everything you need is already coded within you. It includes your unique gifts, the lessons you came to learn, the service you're here to offer, and the relationships that will catalyze your growth.
Q: How can I discover my soul blueprint if I feel lost? A: Start by examining what brought you joy as a child, notice repeating patterns in your life, and tune into what creates pure excitement for you now. Your soul blueprint often reveals itself through these natural inclinations and the lessons that keep appearing in your life. Remember, feeling lost is often a sign that you're ready for your next evolution—your blueprint is inviting you to grow.
Q: Can my soul blueprint change during my lifetime? A: Yes! As we discussed, you might experience several "incarnations within the incarnation." Your soul blueprint can evolve and invite you into new phases of growth, just like progressing from building a foundation to constructing the walls of a house. What felt aligned five years ago might not resonate today, and that's perfectly natural.
Q: Is the soul blueprint just about finding my life's work? A: No, it's much more comprehensive. Your soul blueprint expresses itself through all aspects of life—relationships, daily encounters, how you respond to challenges, and yes, also through your work. It's the totality of how you're designed to experience and contribute to life. Your blueprint is active in every moment, not just in career decisions.
Q: What if I keep experiencing the same patterns repeatedly? A: This is your soul blueprint presenting lessons you're meant to learn. Rather than seeing it as failure, recognize it as the love of consciousness giving you multiple opportunities to grow. Ask yourself: "What is this pattern trying to teach me?" The pattern will transform once you consciously engage with the lesson.
Q: How do I know if I'm following my soul blueprint? A: You'll feel a sense of alignment and flow, even when facing challenges. Things feel "right" even if they're difficult. You have energy for what you're doing. Synchronicities increase. You feel more like yourself than ever before. When you're off your blueprint, you'll feel resistance, depletion, or like you're forcing things.
Q: What if my soul blueprint conflicts with my family's expectations? A: This is one of the most common challenges we see. Your soul blueprint is unique to you—it may not match what your family envisioned. The invitation is to honor both your truth and their perspective without needing them to agree. Sometimes following your blueprint means lovingly disappointing others to avoid betraying yourself.
