The Invitation to Choose Service to Others Over Fear
You know, when we start becoming more aware of our multidimensionality—maybe it's through meditation, maybe it's prayer, maybe it's just that feeling that there's something more than the physical realm—something really interesting happens. As we talked about in the podcast, there's this invitation that shows up. And it's not pushy or demanding. It's just... there, waiting to be recognized.
The invitation is to choose: Are you gonna lead your life from a place of love or from a place of fear?
Now, we know this from the Law of One material as "polarizing"—service to others versus service to self. But honestly? You don't need to read those books to get this. It's everywhere. Jesus said treat others as you wish to be treated. Buddha emphasized compassion. It's woven through so many spiritual traditions because it's just... true.
Michael's Journey: Real Examples of Serving Others in Business and Life
When we asked Michael when he first stumbled onto this invitation, his answer really struck us. He said it was clear when he left the corporate company he was working for and started his own renewable energy recruitment company. "It was the first time for me," he shared, "as I kind of went through to being in my own sphere, if you will, of my own soul's calling, that I was able to change the way that I did business." But here's what really got us—he was still in the depths of trauma at that time. Very functioning, but dealing with depression, anxiety, self-medicating at the time. It wasn't until his spiritual awakening that he recognized what was transforming in his business was actually the beginning of recognizing that call to be of service to others.
Examples of Serving Others: Real Stories and Simple Ways
One of the most beautiful examples of serving others comes from Michael's childhood. He found 10 pounds on the street while working in his nan's shop, and his immediate reaction? He went running around the street saying "Someone's lost 10 pounds!" His nan had to call him back in because he was so innocent to the fact that someone might just claim it even if it wasn't theirs. This pure, instinctive desire to help demonstrates how service to others often emerges naturally from love.
Simple Ways to Serve Others Daily:
Holding a door open for someone with genuine warmth
Cooking dinner for a friend or family member
Having a conversation where you truly listen and support someone through a difficult time
Offering professional help that creates a breakthrough for someone
Planting trees with no expectation of recognition or reward
What makes these examples of serving others powerful isn't the grand gesture—it's the vibration behind the action. When we approach serving others with humility and genuine care, each of these simple acts becomes a profound expression of service. Learning how to serve others well isn't about perfection—it's about the authentic intention behind our actions. "When we incarnate on the planet," Michael reflected, "if we have that kind of soul inclination to be of service on the planet, yeah, it's already there. It's present, like we are born with it."
Jamie's Wake-Up Call: Learning Service to Self vs Service to Others
Jamie had her own interesting journey with this. Between 2010 and 2012, she was just starting to have awareness of her intuitive abilities. And you know Jamie—give her a checklist and she'll get it done. She's definitely a doer. So there she was, starting to receive guidance, journaling, taking it seriously. And there was this one "guide" that was constantly giving her things to do. "You need to go do this, you should go do this, don't forget to do this, and also it would be great if you did this." After about a week or two of this, she had to pause. She was exhausted! Something in her just knew something was off. She was allowing something to boss her around, consciously or unconsciously. That's when the Law of One came into her life—perfect synchronicity. Reading about polarization and service to self versus service to others was like finding a key. She realized that task master guide? That wasn't aligned with service to others. That was all about conditionality and control. After that recognition, no more task master spirits. But it taught her something crucial: We have to actually choose what vibration we're connecting with, what we're communicating, and how we're responding to guidance.
What Service to Others vs. Service to Self Really Means
Here's something that might surprise you: Service to others is a vibration of unconditional love that expands outward. It's that energy that is pure, opening, loving, compassionate, kind, caring, and overflowing. It's infinitely expansive, and—here's the kicker—it already exists within you.
Service to Others vs. Service to Self: Understanding the Difference
The key difference lies in motivation and energy. Service to self operates from fear and contraction. It thinks, "If I give this to you, what will I get back?" It's conditional, it's absorbing energy rather than radiating it. In contrast, serving others with love comes from a place of genuine care and expansion, and openness.
Now, one of the biggest misconceptions we see is that people think service to others is all about action. But as Michael explained so beautifully, "Service to others is a vibration. And if we think about anything in our lives, like our actions are always a product of our vibration." He gave this great example: If someone cuts you off in traffic and your heart rate increases, maybe you get a little angry—if you slow that down, you'd notice there's a vibration first. A feeling of "someone's done something wrong to me." The reaction comes from that vibration. But if you're in an enlightened state? Someone could cut in front and the vibration might just be complete love for that person. "Oh, someone's in a hurry. They must have something important to do. I'm okay. Everyone's okay."
How to Live a Life of Service to Others: A Powerful Vibration Exercise
Michael shared this beautiful exercise that really helps you connect with the vibration of service to others. This is one of our favorite ways to help people understand how to live a life of service to others. Ready to try it? "Remember a time where you were of service to someone. Like whether it be you held a door open for someone, or if you cooked dinner for someone, or if you had a conversation with a friend and you supported them through a difficult time, or perhaps professionally you were helping someone and they had a breakthrough." Now here's the key: "Tune into that vibration by remembering the act of service, but tune into the vibration that came BEFORE the act of service. "When you get tuned into that vibration, ask yourself: "Is this what I choose? Is this what I prefer?" Michael described his own experience with this: "When I tune into an experience like that... I can just feel myself. It just like feels like the day-to-day kind of preoccupations that I have just seem insignificant in comparison to that vibration of service to others."
Living From Service to Others: It's a Choice, Not Perfection
Here's what we really want you to understand: This isn't about getting it perfect. We don't get it perfect! We're human beings on Earth with trauma, with life, with all the complexities that come with that.
As Michael put it, "It's not about getting it right first time. It's not even about getting it right, period."
What it IS about is recognizing that there are choices presented to us in each moment. Even if we don't think we have a choice in how we respond, there's always an element of choice—even if it's just how we respond energetically to something we can't control. Try this: For just 60 minutes, make it a practice. With every decision, ask yourself, "How do I choose to be of service to others with this decision?" Because polarization into service to others is a conscious choice.
Why Service to Others Is Important: The Bigger Picture
In the Law of One material, they talk about two soul path choices when you incarnate on Earth: service to self or service to others. Eventually, at the higher levels of consciousness (sixth density and beyond, they call it), everything becomes service to others because there's recognition that everything is one infinite consciousness. But here's what we've found through our direct experience: When we choose service to others, there's this expansion that naturally occurs. It brings immense joy, fulfillment, and gives us a guiding principle for how to live our lives. Understanding how to find joy in service to others becomes a gateway to deeper fulfillment than any self-serving pursuit could provide. That's why, after being in service to others through multidimensional work for a combined 24+ years, what excites us most now is helping people step into service to others. For those of you who feel that call, who resonate with contributing to the planetary shift towards love—we've found that our incarnation, our soul blueprint, is most excited about helping you step into that service.
For the Professionals: Service as Your Discernment Tool
Now, for any of you who work professionally in service to others—intuitives, mediums, healers, therapists, coaches, channels—choosing your polarization becomes your most powerful discernment tool.
Sometimes people say, "Sometimes I get really good guidance for my clients. Other times I'm like, oh, that's just my mind. Or sometimes it feels a little negative." They get confused about discernment. Here's the thing: When you choose that polarization and dedicate to it, you're basically embodying it. As Jamie explained in the podcast, when she says "I'm here in alignment with being in service to others," her field just exudes it. It emanates it. And that becomes the discernment container for anything that's not love at that highest vibration. So if she's getting guidance that feels very conditional—like her old task master guide with all the "you have to do this, you have to do that"—she can recognize it quicker. "Ah, this energy's coming from conditionality. It's not in alignment with that highest vibration of love."

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How can we make service to others our priority?
A: You know, it starts with that tuning exercise we shared. Remember a time you served someone, feel into that vibration—not the action, but what came before it. Then ask yourself, "How do I live from this vibration?" Start small. Maybe just 60 minutes of making conscious choices. It's not about perfection—it's about returning to that choice again and again.
Q: Why is service important to others and to ourselves?
A: Service creates connection and breaks down the illusion of separation. When we serve others, we recognize our fundamental interconnectedness. It's important because it shifts us from fear-based thinking to love-based living, creating ripple effects that heal both the giver and receiver. Service reminds us that we're all part of something greater.
Q: What brings joy to serving others?
A: For us, the joy comes from recognizing this vibration already exists within you. Like Michael said, when he tunes into service—like planting trees with no cameras, no recognition—the day-to-day preoccupations just seem insignificant compared to that expansion. To be of service to others what a joy it becomes when you realize it's not about the doing. It's about being in that pure vibration of unconditional giving. Learning how to find joy in service to others happens naturally when you connect with this deeper truth.
Q: What are ways to serve others in everyday life?
A: There are countless ways to serve others, and they don't have to be grand gestures. Some of our favorite examples include: listening deeply when someone needs support, sharing your professional skills to help others succeed, offering genuine compliments, helping with practical tasks without being asked, or simply being fully present with someone who's struggling. The key is serving others with love rather than obligation.
Q: How is service to others vs service to self different in practice?
A: Service to others comes from love and feels expansive its open, kind, compassionate and overflowing. Service to self comes from fear and feels contracted—there's always a "what's in it for me?" energy. You can feel the difference in your body: service to others creates openness and flow, while service to self creates tension and calculation.
Q: Can someone serve others professionally and still make a living?
A: Absolutely! Look at us—we both left other businesses to dedicate our lives to this work. When your soul's calling aligns with how you serve, abundance naturally follows. It's not about sacrificing yourself. It's about finding that sweet spot where your gifts meet the world's needs. Service to others includes supporting yourself as part of the greater whole.
Q: What if I don't feel naturally inclined to serve others?
A: And that's perfectly okay! Not everyone resonates with this path in every lifetime. There's no judgment there. The invitation is just to explore—try the vibration-tuning exercise and see how it feels. Honor your own spiritual sovereignty and inner truth above all. Maybe this lifetime is about something else for you, and that's beautiful too.
